We may go in for any number of muttering prayers, sittings in penance and recitation of holy scriptures, God will not be pleased;
We may visit places of pilgrimage and bathe there any number of times, God will not be pleased.
We may sing any amount of praise, God will not be pleased;
We may go in for any amount of offerings to deities and donations, God will not be pleased.
God can be pleased, if we fall at the feet of the perfect True Master;
Avtar says, only rare few receive the divine knowledge.

Meaning
No rituals but surrender in the feet of the True Master helps us know God. God cannot be pleased by saying prayers, punishing one self, recitation of holy scriptures, visiting holy places, bathing any number of times or singing his praises or by any amount of offerings to deities and donations. God can be pleased, if we fall at the feet of the perfect True Master. Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says, only few people receive this divine knowledge.
